Brief History
“Fieldway Life Members Club” under the sponsorship of Mississauga Council and Chapter 74 of the Telephone Pioneers of America,
(TPA) was established in 1987 for those people who retired from BCE Inc. in the west end of Toronto.
The Club continued under the
TPA umbrella until 1997 when Telephone Pioneers of America was no longer supported by BCE Inc.
Through many negotiations, BCE agreed to continue to provide financial support to maintain the five life member clubs in the Toronto and Mississauga area.
Telco Community Volunteers was federally incorporated in 2000.
TCV consisted of five clubs - Fieldway, Toronto, Scarborough, Brampton, and Oakville.
Before all these changes occurred, a long time member of the Fieldway Retirees Club, a truly lovely lady,
Pauline Baxter Moore passed away and left her estate to the Fieldway Retirees Club for the enjoyment, recreation, and other benefits for the club members.
This endowment was eventually shared by all 5 retiree clubs under the umbrella of TCV.
As with all good things, the endowment became depleted.
On Oct 22nd, 2020, Telco Community Volunteers was dissolved, and each retiree club plans to continue as separate entities.
Fieldway Bell Retirees Club was established as an unincorporated association.
Thank You Pauline Baxter Moore for all the joy, fun, and pleasure that your bequest gave to so many Bell Retirees over the past 21 years.
Cat Blanket
To comfort and protect the animals at the local Humane Society we knit blankets for the bottom of the cages.
These blankets follow them to their forever home.

Membership
To qualify for Membership in the Club, you must be a former employee
(or spouse or person who is living in a common law relationship of a least 12 months with a member in good standing)
of the telecommunications services sectors in which BCE Inc. has or previously had directly or indirectly,
an investment or interest, or a former employee who left such employment.
Payment of a yearly Membership fee, due as of January 1st of the fiscal year, will make you eligible for
the benefits and privileges of membership in the Club.
